We are a 501 (c) 3 Charity dedicated to helping individuals with Autism and Down syndrome through the game of golf . . . Our goal is achieved by learning to play the game of golf and finding permanent employment within the golf industry.
As we as a society become more knowledgeable of these children and young adults, we realize that Down syndrome and Autism are NOT a disease, but truly a “Blessing From God” and they deserve our love and guidance.
Our mission is to provide the special tools, instruction manuals and videos to “Teach the Teachers” which will result in a standard presentation of instruction, knowledge and structure that is required by golf professionals, parents and caregivers to teach golf to this wonderful and very capable population.
During a practice round, January 2019 at the raucous Waste Management Phoenix Open, then 20 year old Amy Bockerstette teamed up with Gary Woodland (eventual US Open golf champion) to play the 16th hole, Par 3 in front of thousands of roaring fans . . . The thing is, this young golfer has Down syndrome, but the golf ball doesn't know it.
History was made, a star was born and the world was introduced to an inspiration for all of us to follow . . . In the words of Amy, "I Got This" became a turning point for many in the golf industry and the most watched video clip in the annals of the PGA Tour. Watch Below.
